Edmunds calls the styling “distinctive” and reports “the Tiburon (the name means 'shark' in Spanish) has improved in both looks and performance” with the current edition.Automobile notes that 2008 Hyundai Tiburon standard safety equipment "includes front airbags, front side-impact airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and force limiters, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, and a tire pressure monitor."
